Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-for-a-day across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green. In my home each year I make a special St. Patrick's Day menu, take photos of us in funny big green hats (and by us I usually mean my daughter - ha ha), we make sure to wear a bit of green to avoid pinches, and my daughter has created many a leprechaun trap through her elementary school years.
